Bad yeast infection or herpes ?

So I had sex with a guy on july 28 his name is A Un protected , then I had sex with someone else on July 29 his name is B , unprotected. A week passes and I get a yeast infection and I ignore it, I’ve gotten these before and it wasnt as bad. Then I had sex with b on on Aug 5. Two days later I start smelling a fishy odor out of my vagina so I decided to use Tioconazole which cures a yeast infection. I used this medication at 6:30pm, then hours later I get a burning sensation and realized my yeast infection is a darker yellow. I thought my body rejected the medication so I decided to use monistat that same night at 12:00am and applied Vagisil cereal on top of the irritated skin. I fall asleep and wake up at 4 am in tears because my vagina was EXTREMELY swollen. I couldn’t believe it! I ran to the ER and they said I had a bad yeast infection and maybe all of these products at once created a chemical reaction. So they gave me one dose of fluconazole and I went home. Literally 24 hours later I went back to the ER because the swelling went down but every time I peeped it burned and I noticed I had 1 white sore on the right side of my labia. I go and the doctors say it doesn’t look like an STD but it does look like herpes because it looks like I have an outbreak. In other words while I was there I started getting more. Now I’m waiting to see a GYN because I’m the ER they could give me a swab for herpes. I’m extremely nervous !

    U need to go get swabbed or blood tested. Your sxs sounds like it could be herpes thats how mines started. I know u are nervous but u need to find out. Much luck. Xoxoxo

    A fishy Oder could signal bacterial vaginosis a swab could test for that!also as for the other symptoms definitely consult with your primary care physician. A lot of people including myself who had a hsv herpes select that came out positive I had no symptoms but got tested because my ex partner decided to conceal his penile bumps until after the fact. I still thankfully have had just a tingling sensation sometimes no Ob. It’s never cut and dry some have classic symptoms some have mild and some have none. Be safe and get tested. Best of luck!

      Hi Renee, are you taking anything to surpress the breakouts or has it always been that mild?

      I took valtrex once for 7 days because of the tingling, crawling sensation I thought that was predrome and I would have an Ob, it never came I have not had any Ob’s luckily, I was on the low positive side not sure if it’s even accurate. Waiting a couple more months to retest my hsv 2 was 1.27 then 1.13 and my hsv 1 oral which I had cold sores as a kid was high in the 40’s hoping it was cross sensitivity between the two.

    Yes they need to culture it. and a bad yeast infection can cause swelling I had it before like that, and had to take three fluconazole 150 mg every three days, it cured it.

    I hope B is the source of herpes if it is herpes coz if A is the source so sure B is infected now sad

    Let us know your outcome. I am currently experiencing the same sort of thing, but a white discharge and not a strong odour. Very irritated area but no sores, marks or anything and very dry skin... could also be my skin trying to heal after I used hair removal cream! I'll never do that again. I used canasten cream and symptoms went away.
