Hello Everyone!
Trying to be as upbeat as possible, but be suffering with these symptoms for the past 5 years. Prior to this, I was a healthy individual living in Thailand. I'm currently 35 years old running a few tech companies in Asia. The issues I have, had hugely impacted my life, making it very difficult to do my day-to-day activities, and quality of life has dropped quite low.
I have seen many doctors in Thailand from Neurologists, Cardiologists, Psychiatrists, ENT's and many more to try and resolve the symptoms. I have had almost every test under the sun, multiple MRI's etc and also tried non-traditional therapies such as meditation and yoga, chiropractor and even hyperbaric oxygen therapy. You get to a point where the 'doctors' are not too sure, and send you to the psychiatrist, and will diagnose with anxiety or GAD and give you SSRI's. I have tried and been open to this route, and tried many variations (SSRI, SNRI) but not having any relief as of yet.
I was diagnosed with very mild OSA, which I use CPAP to treat (currently not seeing any benefit and using daily). I had a deviated septum which I had septoplasty to fix. The symptoms below are daily and occur everyday. Some days they are worse than others but have not identified any correlations in food (I have done food intolerance tests) and activities.
Vision & Balance
- Feels like consistent dry eyes
- Sensitive to sunlight or light in general (Photophobia)
- Hard to focus, eyesight shifting in and out of focus
- Making me feel off balance / slightly dizzy
- Some of the visual symptoms are similar to 'migraine aura symptoms' but are consistent (e.g. Blind spots outlined by simple geometric designs, zigzag lines that gradually float across your field of vision, light sensitive)
Fatigue
- Fatigue every day, very tired throughout the morning and early afternoon
- Fatigue eases off in the evening (mainly after sunset)
Anxiety and Panic
- Feel anxious in general (on edge constantly daily), about my health and other triggers (e.g. flying)
- Sometimes it escalates into panic attack
- Feeling of rapid heart beat, and just something is not right
The only real relief I have is sometimes I take benzodiazepine which stops the panic, but nothing really else. I exercise daily and now watch what I eat.
If anyone can help me with any recommendations, I am now desperate to try and solve these issues. I don't need a total fix, I'm just looking for them small percentage increases in quality of life. I have accepted that I will never be 100% but I would love to get some small gains so I can enjoy the parts of life I used to love so much.
NB - I'm willing to work with any private doctors, or facilities to fix these issues. I understand that time is not free, and willing to pay for anything that adds value and benefits my issues.
Many Thanks in Advance
Mike
