Had unprotected sex with partner 10 days ago, had some swelling/rash on glans so a week ago saw doctor who gave anifungal cream. Have been away from soaps etc... wash 2x/day and dry completely before putting cream on. I'll show pictures of first day and today - was considering trying polysporin along with the antifungal in case its bacterial or maybe cortizone? Partner is symptom free and sti not expected. I'll appreciate any feedback. Doing better but I woukd have expected more progress.

Note that significant lubricant was used and was somewhat rough (more than typical) and I normally have very sensitive skin.

In terms of your partner - and what you show in photo 1 would suggest this to be the case, and I would be presuming you had unprotected vaginal is that the source of the issue is an imbalance in the vagina that has caused this. Therefore you risk reinfection if this imbalance is not rectified.
In terms of what to use my suggestion would be to explain to your doctor what you have experienced in terms of recovery and was there anything the doctor can further prescribe to help this process of recovery.
And yes, this could be a cortizone but getting the correct strength is the essential element.
One other possibility would be that if you did both vaginal and anal you could have a combination of a fungal and bacterial infection, currently the treatment is for the fungal element - that is, you can get a steroid based treatment that treat both fungal and bacterial.
Again, the doctor would be the best guide on this ....

Thanks for the reply, it was just vaginal. I did mix in some polysporin with the antifungal but in the past 5 days zero change from the last photo - its not getting worse which is good but that little bit of rash is noticeable, particularly after showering. I saw the doctor he wasnt concerned and said to give it a bit of time... its frustrating, it looks like it's 24hrs away from being completely gone but won't go away. I keep up the simple water wash only 2x/day and wash every time after urinating, not sure of any other options - I'm going to stop the creams today, give it a few days and see how it goes...

Just to say, if you read the instruction leaflet that you got with the antifungal they often state a minimum period you use the treatment for before you stop using them. For many of the popular ones this can be 14 days.
Certainly when showering do not expose your penis to hot water - the damaged skin will actually take 3 to 5 weeks to first repair, and then become healthy again, that is if nothing else irritates it.

Hello ,
It seems like in the last picture it looks really irritated one thing they don't tell you is that you have to use little of the cream as in any way since it is strong it does make your penis (as its more sensitive skin) irritate faster I used coconut oil when I had it and I have no issues with the yeast and everything went back to normal I only have one issue remaining.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering that, I seemed to do better when it was applied lighter, I'm going to give the coconut oil a try.

I heard it helps in controlling the yeast as well as not been too harsh on the penile skin. At least for me it has worked for that as I got to a point it was so dry it looked really white and was peeling after about a week and twice a day it looks normal and barely any dryness at all.
Good luck friend and IF you use Coconut oil use Virgin-Organic Oil basically the purest you can obtain.

I picked up the 100% extra virgin coconut oil last night and am trying it out but just out of curiosity, how frequently would you apply it?
Thanks!

same twice or thrice a day and don't use to much as a bit is enough for the whole PP but its not harmful to the skin like the creams.
