Balloon Rhizotomy

I am going to have a balloon rhizotomy on Wednesday and just want to know any thoughts from anyone who has done this.  I have had a MVD and Gamma Knife done already with no success and am hoping this will work.

im so sorry that the MVD didn't work. I just had MVD with 4 sponges 8 weeks ago with perfect results. I guess we are all different,

I am sorry you have to go for this operation, .

i am not familiar with it ,

but was diagnosed with terminalga Neuralgia ,and was advised by a friend to try CB D balm and as soon as I did the first application , the pain disappeared. I don’t know if this helps   .

Hello Cooking, Sorry to hear the other procedures did not work, I have never heard of a balloon rhizotomy and wish you well with it. I did have a rhizotomy carried out in 2014, but it involved a crushing of the trigeminal nerve and this certainly "cured" the TN for me, but there were unfortunate side effects and I am left with a condition called anaesthesia dolorosa which is extremely unpleasant and there is no known medical cure for it. I do not want to scare you, but my advice is to avoid this cutting of the nerve even though it may be successful in curing TN the side effects can be horrific in a small number of cases. Best of luck anyway.
