Balloon sinuplasty

I just got sinus surgery Tuesday. Since then my nose on one side has been extremely clogged and filled with dry blood. Has anyone else experienced pain after surgery. My throat was also on FIRE right after it was done with. It feels so sore/hurts on one side of my nose that it hurts my teeth. Just want to know if this is normal. It's starting to get really uncomfortable. I have a check up on Wednesday.

    Hi Sara,

    I haven't had balloon sinuplasty but I've had bilateral computer assisted sinus surgery 3 weeks ago and yes I had a lot of pain. I still need to take tylenol extra strength regularly. Your throat might hurt from the breathing tube that was in during surgery. I'm so sorry you are in pain.

      Had no breathing tube was AWAKE for the whole surgery! My nose is just extremely dry and I've been rinsing. Gets very hard to sleep at night. I was thinking of putting some vaseline in my nostrils to see if that helps some.

      Oh I didn't realize that. Olive oil or coconut oil is better than Vaseline. It is safer and doesn't contain petroleum. smile

    Hello. I had this same surgery. My doc told me to buy the can/ bottle saline spray and very frequently spray up in your nose. This will help with the dryness.
