Barretts and Breathing Issues?

Hi,
I was diagnosed with Barretts (w/ severe dysplasia) a few months ago. Every two months I go in for a scoping and biopsies. Part of my problem has been a refusal on my part to make the drastic change in my diet that I needed to, until now. I've never regurgitated so much in my life as in the past 6-7 months.
Now, with the medicines and oats, rice, plain yoghurt, bread, etc ... hopefully this will control the "refusal" of the foods I had been eating. Now, for some reason I find that my lungs seems to be shutting down?? I am very active physically and am a gym rat. But my ability to do cardio is diminished severely.
I am uncertain why this is happening, and if it is even related to the Barretts?? Any thoughts???

I hope you enjoyed your time away. I know how you feel in no one explaining your situation to you. It's so very frustrating. I find it sad that people who deal with people on a personal basis can be so - impersonal. At least they can be professional - and follow-up with thier patients.
May I ask what your breathing symptoms are like??
With my own breathing issues - I have found as of late that lessening the volume I eat in a sitting helps me; as well as using both Zofran and Phenergan. I also used some GABA and it seemed to help.
I am not sure yet if these are helping, but I broke down and bought some digestive aids. Benn usung them for about 4 days now: a good quality Probiotic, a digest enzyme mix (capsules), slippery elm tea, ginger, DGL (licorice), papaya enzymes, and some Aloe Vera juice.
One thing that really helped my esophagus is the Slippery Elm tea. When it gets constricted and I start wheezing I drink some of the Slippery elm and it helps. Along with a small amount of GABA under my tonge also seemed to help.
