Barretts Causing Pain - needing reassurance

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi Again,

I have been getting pain all over top of back bottom all over stomach and constant constipation, going to have my barretts checked again 13th of next month.

I have lost my appetite etc, has anyone else had this? They think a lot would not have changed in 8 months(touch wood not cancerous) Thats my big fear but he did say the acid can go to the stomach etc and cause them to schrink which could be causing the problems.

I guess i am just looking for re-assurance.

Well good luck, Now heres some thought for you, I had baretts really really bad, life sucked, the doctor gave me pills kinda helped, did all kinds of research, and about a 18 months ago I got serious and changed my diet and stuck to it. lots of fresh raw vegetables all kinds from beets kale chollard greens carrotsĀ  chards etc. Then I added all the fruits I could, no oranges or onions that made it worse. As many fresh nuts that I could add almonds etc. and dried beans I'd soak the night before. I ate all this everyday for a year and I was 80% back to normal, but the final addition that helped me get to about 98% was adding pasta to every meal,

that made it so my the food stayed down and the acid would not come back up.

Almost everything I eat is organic, and no beef we don't want all the chemicals they put in the cows, My life is now worth living, hope this works for you, this really did change my life

Hi Michael can I ask you what sort of pasts do you have? White or brown. I keep being to stop eating pasts, rice, potatoes, tomatoes, refined sugar, but like I've mentioned before when I was 17! I has to have a barium meal due to acid reflux. My mum never cooked pasta, never rice, we est slot of tomato based sauces too. Have you looked in to food combining eg no starch with protein etc

I eat regular pasta spaghetti. you don't want to anything with tomatoes onions or oranges they are acidic and will make it worse. eat alot of greens kale collard greens etc. beets carrots brocolli etc. no sugar. if you eat the foods in my previous message it will get better. the diet is plane but and no flavor but you will feel better. you don't want to put any acidic food in your stomach, I could not swollow I couged all the time. it took about a year. the food i eat is plane I don't have the effects of barretts. also salty crackers helped me because it kept the acid in my stomach, and when you sleep use two or three pillows to help keep your head elevated above you stomach. prunes and fruits help to relieve the constipation
