Barretts esophagus and globus sensation

Hello I have had barretts diagnosed in 2007 and take lansoprazole daily since as well as endoscopies every two years. Two months ago I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and given tablets. I developed a dry cough which became an infection with a lot of plhegm and a very dry throat. This has cleared but now I have a feeling like my throat is tight and I have something stuck there. My gp has referred me to an urgent hospital appointment and I am becoming increasingly concerned and worried. Has anyone suffering from barrets got any advice?
