Bartholin Cyst!!

Iv had a bartholins cyst for about 4 years never got infected but was quite big so left it until this year... i had it lanced in april then marsupilization in july it will be 7 weeks tomorrow since having it done and its come back!! Im currently sat in hospital its got bigger over the last couple of days im really at my wits end i dont wanna go through another operation again for it to come back. I feel like you cant win, with this horrible cyst!!

    I have had these for 4 years also. Multiple lancings and always come back. I have scheduled my gland removal surgery for September 26.

    I feel for you! I've been struggling on and off for 7 years.

    Clay packs are something that has worked for me at times - I also posted a long post earlier this year on this forum about all the natural methods that have helped (*the things I've done help to keep the cyst down, and allow me to avoid the hospital, but nothing yet has kept them away forever).

    - I used dry pure green clay (you can get it in health food stores in the cosmetic section, just make sure it doesn’t have anything added to it) and mixed it with enough water to make a paste. Mix the clay and leave it for at least an hour before using – it will keep indefinitely so no need to worry about mixing too much or leaving it (way) longer than an hour

    - use a thin strip of cotton, place a pile of clay in the middle – enough to cover the whole cyst area, about 1cm deep

    - place the cotton strip with clay directly against the cyst

    - cover the cotton with a strip/square of wool

    - put underwear overtop

    ----- change the clay pack every couple of hours during the day. okay to leave it one on for the whole night.

    I had the gland removal one year ago. This procedure finally got rid of this terrible thing for good.

    The abcess popped just before i was to go down to threatre. The drained the rest of that and have finally removed the cyst. Im just scared its gunna come back and with the agony im in i cant take yet another operation.

    Hi Laura,

    Like you I had a cyst that burst so had immediate marsupilization. That was 7 days ago and im starting to feel a lot better.

    Stitches are due to come out tomorrow.

    I still have discharge though, which is bothering me, but its clear.

    Im hoping this will stop soon.

    Does anyone know?

    Im praying the cyst doesnt come back but from what ive been reading im not holding out much hope.
