Bartholin gland removed 4 weeks ago

hey everyone!

I have had 7 bad bartholin cysts over the last year so I finally made the decision with my gynecologist to have the gland removed 4 weeks ago.

which apparently was the best decision ny gynecologist told me afterwards that he found two black abscesses directly on the gland which where filled with puss.

All in all I am very happy! The first two weeks were extremely painful! I needed a lot of help from my fiancé to get out of bed and to shower, I was very week and lost a lot of blood the first week. But I have been in constant contact with my doctor and everything healed as it should. A bit over a week ago I had my last appointment and he said everything is healing perfectly and I can go back to my normal routine.

I have pretty much no pain anymore, here and there a little pinch but thats it!

Now ...I would love to try to have sex again (my fiancé is absolutely patient and just as nervous as I am, he would rather wait some more ) how do I really know if I'm ready?

I am so scared to damage something or even rip open some sutures that haven't dissolved yet.

it's going to be exactly 4 weeks post op on Thursday. should I just try it ? Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙈😊

I pretty much asked this question a few weeks ago. I had the dreaded cyst and removed. Painful as all heck. I waited about 4 weeks thinking I was ready for sex but it hurt so bad. I felt like I was at the first week! I think its normal?.... to have pain . I mean we are being cut up there! lol So I have waited until I have absolutly no pain at all.

    Good luck!
