Bartholin’s Cyst for over 7 years cured by plant based diet

I wanted to share my experience since these little monsters are so hard to treat. I have been dealing with a Barthonlin's glad cyst for the last seven years and had basically given up hope that my lady parts would ever return to normal. The cyst would abscess usually twice a year no matter what I did. This would usually result in a week of pain, limited mobility, and trying every home remedy I could find on the internet. From turmeric to Pheobe's cure i've tried it all to no avail. The abscesses would eventually burst but they never fully would go away.

I have been avoiding surgical options as much as possible since my first drainage at the obgyn was a nightmare and resulted in the abscess returning within a week, however I was starting to get desperate and recently was considering surgery. My most recent flair up started 4 weeks ago and this time it was real angry real fast. Within 3 days the cyst was the size of an egg and very painful. I was fully prepared to wait it out till it ruptured like every time before. I had been frustrated with my health overall and decided that week to adopt a whole foods plant based diet, basically vegan. Within the first few days the cyst has shrank noticeably in size to about the size of a grape. I was thrilled as the pain was gone but it remained at this size for another two weeks. I continued eating the whole food plant based diet and avoided sex as well and within another week the duct must have opened fully because it has been draining ever since. It is now completely flat which I almost don't believe as there's always been a lump on my left labia for the past 7 years. I'm still cautious of it retuning but I'm going to continue eating this way and see what happens. Its a big change but I hope this can help others as well who are continuously going through these nightmares.
