Bartholin’s cyst - word Catheter

Hi, I had my 7th BC in 2 years just a couple weeks ago. It lasted 3 weeks before I could get in to see the doctor and unfortunately, no home remedies helped at all.

The doc inserted a word catheter which fell out 34 hours later. That was 2 weeks ago, and tonight, I felt a little lump again and some tenderness, but when I looked, I think there's still a hole there as it was draining some when I pressed on it.

Has anyone had a word catheter and experienced a similar situation? Does this mean everything is ok? Or should I be worried about another BC popping up?

    Hi Lovely

    ive never had the catheter however i did have the gland removed 3 years ago its never come back since,

    this option should be last resort though if i had another one i would have to be very very uncomfortable to want to have the operation again its a killer i was in so much pain afterwards for about 3 weeks i could not get out of bed it was horrendous ive had a c section and the recovery from that was better than having the gland removed!
