I would imagine that the root is still intact and this will continue to reinfect and keep coming back you may need it surgically removed. Mine had to be excised surgically many years ago

Yes Jessica I have a 4 inch scar in my groin area right beside the outer labia and inner thigh where a cyst kept coming back as the root remains there although it seems everything is squeezed out it's best to have it checked. I had a whole year of trouble with mine then they done surgery to remove the root. The bartholins gland is a painful one it rubs against underwear and it was a struggle to walk at times

Hi I read above that you have walked down this journey already. I am currently living with a bartholin gland cyst which I have had surgery on and it continually flares up. No pain. But trying to have a sex life is seeming to do nothing but damage my self esteem right now. I'm wondering if you could relate in this department and for my mental sake any tips on being positive and loving your body and feeling feminine still through this would be greatly ... GREATLY appreciated
