Hi i'm 8days Posterior and Anterior surgery and i'm just wondering what information you'd been given requiring bathing or showering, some sites say that you can bathe straight away others say showers only.
i really enjoy my baths showers are ok but 6 weeks of just showering seems abit extreme.
any info would be great.

Showering because the wounds should not be soaked in water .The wounds and stitches need to heal naturally before you soak in a bath. If you soak, you may find the wounds reopen and need to be restitched.
Its the same advice given to anyone who has had surgery....keep that wound as dry as possible. Normal vaginal dampness is ok.
