Hi

Does anyone know when you can get into a bath?

My shower is over the bath and I do not know anyone with walk in shower.

Strip wash ok for week or so but is there any aid you can use to climb in bath with help from someone?

All the minor things like this is stressing me out.

    Hi

Both of my THR's I was told   NO......no bath or now shower if you have to get into the bath.  The only way of showering is a shower cubicle that you step into

I ended up with 6 weeks of constants strip washing........husband doing the bottom of my legs and my feet because of the 90 degree rule.  I had a both board supplied by the OT and after the 6 weeks ws up I very gingerly got into the bath....making sure someone was in the house......by sitting on the board and gently lifting my legs over and into the bath, then standing up,  I moved the bathboard out and propped it where i could reach it again.

I sat down in a very full bath of water {buoyancy}....it worked......when getting out I reached out got the bathboard put it back in and got up, sat on it for a while, dried my top while sitting then gently put my legs out again.

    Love

Thank you for advice. Sounds sensible to me. I will do the same.
