Sorry Wendy, it is definitely a battle.  Ive just had my 2nd fill and am back on the liquids.  These post op weeks are a struggle, but remember you weight will be going in the right direction.  I dont think I am as hungry and before my 2nd fill i was eating normal food - but off a side plate and training myself to chew 20 times, 20p size mouthfuls and waiting 20 seconds before my next mouthful - it definitely does help!  No restriction yet on food I can eat but its still early days - takes 3-6 fills i think depending on the person.  Have you tried going onto porridge or angel delight or a thicker consistency of soup to start yourself getting used to thicker food?  Hopefully that will help you.  Mashed potatoe or spaghetti hoops?

Are you physically sick if you go for lumpier or feel sick? Ive made orange cake today - cos I know i cant eat it due to the fill for 3 days - still love the sight and smell of food but just training myself not to become a hog and stuff myself.  Good luck with your journey x

Hi thanks will have to try thicker food as I'm sick of drinking I've no energy either I am sure it will get easier it's hard because some people think you've taken the easy option having an op and it's the hardest thing I've ever done Even harder than having children Ha !!you're right about training  - wish you well on your journey !!

when I was on the liquid diet the 2nd week - hadnt felt like eating much the first I used to make my own Butternut squash soup - the slimmingworld recipie - tastes yummy - was good as i buy the butternut squash ready prepared and cubed from Costco - so was easy to make! (theyre damn hard to cut!)  think you get pleasure out of your own soup and you can make it as thin or thick as you like! xx  then went onto do blitzed pea and ham soup with loads of pulses in it! xx good luck x
