Bed Sores

I've got bed sores on my heels now๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Keep waking me up. I've tried a rolled towel under my ankles but seems to hurt my hip, knees . My hip leg I'm slightly hanging my foot off the mattress . Blisters are getting bigger. Can't reach to put anything on them , don't quite know the answer. Tried wearing sox but doesn't help๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Any ideas?

    Hi

I read on here the other day, fill up a pair of disposable gloves with water, tie firmly and rest your heels on these. ย The person also said a condom did an excellent job too!

Hope this helps, wish I had read this when I was suffering lol.

    Good luck

Think you need to have them checked out...blisters may be a natural response by your body when there is pressure, but still need care......I put a sheepskin in bed and this caused less friction and was very comfortable....still have it twelve weeks on.

    Hi gaby

I too have a sore on the heel. It is imperative that you get medical help today. Foot needs to be elevated off the bed or chair if you are lying or sitting. The district nurse can provide a boottee for this. If the skin breaks you could get an infection. This is serious. Get medical help today

    My nurse is calling daily.

    Take care

Thank you. I have called the surgery, my Dr is calling me when he's finished his stint.

I know it needs dealing with ASAP. They're blisters at mo but Defo don't want skin to break. Very red๐Ÿ™ˆ Hurt when you put your feet on the floor now โ˜น

      Blooming heck whatever next lol๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

I thought mine were blisters..well they were...but the nurse had a fit when he saw my heels. He said hopefully the blister will reabsorb but it needs careful monitoring. I used condoms filled with water which helped but now I have a boot which us enormous. Hope all goes well

    Hey,ย

The only thing I have found that helps is a pillow under my knees to elevate it, with nothing under my heel. Works a treat.ย

Sudocrem helped with friction in hospital. At home used my sheepskin rug under my feet. No height just protection. Perhaps a fluffy or very soft fleece folded or rolled????
