Beem having problems with hospitals because of my insurance

Was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pancreatitis. Found out I test positive for CF. Carry a mutated CF gene with markers for MCAD. Never had or do I have lung problems. Seems to only attack my pancreas
Damage done they removed the tail of my pancreas and spleen. Still have attacks but I don't always have the raised lypase and amylase levels. This causes an issue and I suffer greatly. Even though on a cat scan they can tell I'm having an attack, they will kick me out of hospital because Medicare criteria says I have to have the raised amylase and lypase levels for them to cover the insurance cost. It's a nightmare. What can I do? My home pain meds don't cover the suffering and I feel I'm being treated by the medical community like a criminal for having this rare condition

I came down with acute pancreatitis several years ago. Had a birth defect called Pancreatic Divisium. I had a cyst on my pancreas and the doctor left it for 2 years. Ended up having 1/2 of my pancreas removed but I came down with chronic pancreatitis. Are you taking digestive enzymes? I couldn't afford the prescription Creon so I buy them through Amazon . All they can do is put you on NPO and pain meds. I had t stick to a soft/liquid diet during flare-ups. Can you get medicaid?

I'm so sorry for ur struggles! where r u from? In my opinion they r blowing smoke up ur @$%... my husband has CP , his lipase & amylase don't rise any longer and he is also on Medicare, and nobody has ever said something like that to him/us we get the usual drug seeker attitude at times, but never anything about insurance. what plan u have my husband has FL blue PPO and if he has lots of hospital stays we get a social worker from the insurance to help us in finding help to limit the amount of hospital stays he has, but they have never said nothing about raised levels before treatment. I'm going to assume that they don't want to treat u n r saying whatever they can to get out! have u called ur insurance n asked if that's there policy? I was told u can see a patient advocate in the hospital if u feel they r neglecting u. do u have family, friend, or anyone that helps u when it on a flair up? If so, they/self need to b ur advocate complain to any higher power if need be! Do u have a PCP, GI, n Pain Dr? with such a horrible illness u need to have a good set of team by it side that will admit u when the ER Dr call them. check out on Facebook pancreatitis Survivor it's an as some group for support
