Been doing well with anxiety but on the verge of a relapse

I have had bad health anxiety and general anxiety but been coping a lot better this 4 weeks since I have been on meds. I however have a lump in my stomach and have seen 3 different Drs, one thought it was a hernia another said muscle tear and another my gallbladder I have an ultrasound next week but I have convinced myself I have some sort of cancer even though all my blood tests came back clear 4 weeks ago. I have been other thinking the worst and have suffered my first anxiety attack in weeks, feels so disappointed in myself

Hi Entie, I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling bad but it sounds like your doctors are headed in the right direction.  I went through a similar experience recently that had a good outcome... I also had to see three docs to get a diagnosis.  I had a CT scan come back that showed what looked like an enlarged ovary, and ultrasounds seemed to confirm.  I ended up having laparoscopic surgery and it turned out there was nothing in the ovary, just a benign fibroid shadowing it.  Like you, I feared cancer, but also like you, all my lab work was normal!  So there is a strong chance that you do not have it.  All the best to you as you await further testing and diagnosis; the odds are high that all will go well.  Take care.

Thank you glad to hear yours was a good outcome, would blood test show up abnormalities? I need constant reassurance x

I think it depends on what is being tested, but having normal results on any bloodwork is good.  I had to have two sets of comprehensive testing done beyond the usual standard tests that were specific to the issue we were looking for, and it was all normal.  None of your doctors have suggested cancer as a possibility - mine did, though, and then I didn't have it!  Try to think positively.  It will be all right.

You have done everything correct here. Unfortunately they are making you wait a week for the ultrasound. Of course that will cause worrying. Would have been nicer if they did the ultrasound within a couple of days not a week because anyone would get anxious. Saying that whatever it is they know what to do. all of the three things you mentioned are fixable. Do not jump to cancer. You made that up in your mind, the option was not even mentioned, nor would it ever even appear like that..so release that out of your mind. Cancer is not an option here.its not a real scenario so dont feed that theory at all. That love is the anxiety bullying you. Dont be dissappointed in yourself for being anxious you are a humanbeing. Since you have a week now, which i would ask if that can be moved up you need to do your very best to think positive and use all the self calming tools you have learned.

Sorry you are feeling bad Entie. I myself suffer from health anxieties. I am always nervous when my heart rate is racing at 117 like on Tuesday my heart rate was at a 117 i was dizzy and scared and and shaky.

I understand that you are nervous about the lump in your throat it could turn out to be nothing

Try to hang in there and try to keep your mind off things
