This is all very vague. You don't say what your doctor thinks it is or the tablets you are taking. Coco cola is full of chemicals. No wonder you have an unpleasant after taste. You need to look at your diet and cut out all refined foods and fizzy drinks. You could have a food allergy, thyroid issues or many other things. You won't get a diagnosed on patient UK. I suggest you go back to your doctor with your concerns.

Hi Sue, I've had a camera test on my stomach and found the Judienal and Osophecus is bradley inflamed. Although I don't feel the burning just quite sickley' all the time, I've  been put on Lazoprazole instead of Omeprazole and Dompridone for the sickness   , but not really any improvement,I've since started the other symptoms, eyes, taste in mouth ,and my Arthritits getting worse. That's why reading about S S, it sounded  much like my symptoms, I drank Coke one day last week and found the taste got worse in my mouth . ( I'm normally not a fizzy drinker), but I will go back to the Doctors and ask to be tested for SS , as this Condistion has gone on for months now and is waring me out, Thank-you Sue for your help and Advice, Kind Regards Kate,

You could ask to be referred to a rheumatologist they can diagnose ss, there are antibodies in the blood they can check for and salivary gland biopsies for diagnosis, it is Incurable all they can do is manage the symptoms, the arthritis part seems to be the most debilitating so you should be seeing a rheumatologist for that plenty of mouth nose and eye treatments for the dryness I find naproxen helps take the edge of the joint issues

But I take omeprazole with it as I get bad stomach with antiinflams my rheumatologist is still sitting on the fence as far as diagnosis is concerned, I see a gastrologist also, I have primary hypothyroidism also, and have had sooo many tests but feeling a lot better having eased the joint problems a little, it helps the fatigue if your joints aren't hurting all the time

Hi Kate just read your post on endoscopy, did they biopsy? Have they given you a diagnosis for the inflammation? Inflammation there can cause arthritis, dry eyes etc.  They found high calprotectin in my stools which resulted in colonoscopy then pillcam endoscopy, all clear though when they scoped my month long bout of dioreah had ended. Try and push gastro for full scope, pillcam goes all the way through.
