So this is day 2 of being on Prozac (Fluoxetine)10mg and I haven't really noticed any major side effects. I took the pill last night before going to bed (10 pm) and the only thing I had was nausea, woke up in the middle of the night to throw up and had diarrhea in the morning (sorry for TMI).

other than that i've been feeling pretty normal (started the pill during a more up state rather than a depressed period) so I don't know if it's working or not. I know It can take up to 4 weeks to notice change.

any advise helps!

Most meds like prozac take a few weeks to kick in so give it some time.

It may have just been a Bug or something that made you hav D and V during the night or morning. Or just a start up effect.

Be patient and it give the meds time to do there job.

If you keep Vomiting though i would discuss with your doctor as it may not suit you. But if your not sick again you should be okxx

    Good luck xx

Hi, I just started taking fluoxetine 20mg two weeks ago. My first day I took it I felt very heavy and drowsy The next few days I felt very tired along with nausea and feeling inbalanced, I also had insomnia, and rapid heart rate. My anxiety also gotten worse. I heard some people may go through bad side effects until the medicine kicks in. I have maybe 3 or 4 more weeks to go hopefully before I feel any results. I'm trying to hang in there. There has been good reports about the medicine helping others after the weary side effects. I hope your symptoms get better and you won't experience other symptoms that comes with it.

    Best wishes to you.

Give the drug time to work, upwards four/five weeks. It may be the dose is low and your GP will increase the dose as you start getting used to the dose you are now taking
