I agree..2 months is horrid when you have nasty side effects .. it feels like an eternity. Some people can't cope especially if they have a family to look after and work commitments. Personally I felt awful but I stayed off work and my family are mainly grown up and fairly supportive. So I trudged on and when I got to 100mg I felt loads better for longer. I am now on 150mg and have no intention of going any higher. I'm back at work although I'm still not 100% whatever that is.
Sertraline is a very slow working drug but works differently with different people.
All the best to anyone who is increasing or decreasing. It's a tough decision .

Me too Lizzie. 25mg then 50 75 100 then 125 and now 150mg.
I was a mess until 100mg. Off work for 8 months. Couldn't go out. Couldn't drive. So couldn't pick grandson up from School. Couldn't go shopping. Couldn't do anything without ending up on the floor. Couldnt have a bath or shower ...I had burn out ..panic attacks and palpitations. Sertraline has been my life saver.
I would advise people to carry on but it's hard when you feel so rotten that you can't explain it sometimes.
I had times when I didn't know whether to increase or decrease but I'm so glad I carried on. You feel like you are in a catch 22 situation.
I recovered dramatically at 100mg. Now at 150mg I'm back at work..did a car boot sale on my own....been to a music festival...been camping twice.
Good luck
