Been on Sertraline for 4 months and 2 weeks

I've had ups and downs. Certain things seem to trigger my anxiety and then I get intrusive thoughts, back burning, lack of appetite, fatigue and shaking.
I go for exercise class once a week and work in the week. I try to walk when I can. I'm on 50 mg and have been for 4 months. Not sure whether to get the GP to up my dose or hold out a little longer? I just worry about the side affects.
I pray so much which helps. I don't want to get worst as I work and can't afford to lose my job.

Hi Hope.... it should definitely have worked by now.
.you have definitely been on it long enough...definitely see your gp. Maybe zoloft isn't for you. The loss of appetite is normal, as i have it too but nothing else. So i definitely think you're on the right mind set about going to your gp. With my experience, my extreme anxiety and panic attacks disappeared as soon as i started zoloft.... and have not had any episodes .... yet...and hoping never again as theu were severe.
Hope you feel better soon.

I'm going to the GP tomorrow. I need to get my meds sorted so I can get back to being me. I'm not as bad as I used to be but I know I should be feeling a lot better than I am now.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope you continue to get better. .

I'm on 50mg per day. Take them mornings. I too had horrible thoughts about death, dying etc.... they have all gone... and it is now only close to two weeks. A few days under two weeks actually.

Thank you so much ....?????
I hope you get better as i know exactly what you're going through....i went through it for months...and it hit me suddenly...started with a massive panic attack then chronic anxiety...then it just all escalated from there and took over my life....the horrible thoughts too.
Thank you..... we are here for support.... and i pray that it helps you.... and the side effects start going away so you can continue...or if zoloft isnt right for you...as all meds work differently for ppl.... i hope if your doc changes it, or ups the dose, then that works. ????? hoping you find peace, and kick anxiety in the back side. X
