Been on Zoloft for 6.5 wks with no improvement- can it still work

So, I'm feeling extremely discouraged after seeing almost no improvement (still very socially anxious and low feeling) after taking Zoloft for 6.5 weeks now. I'm starting to lose hope that Zoloft will work for me at all because it's only 11 more days until I reach the end of the 8 wk period and I doubt that I will see a major change in my mood during that short amount of time.

Has anyone seen late improvement from Sertraline after not feeling any relief prior??

I really don't want to give up and try a different drug yet because it's been a long and hard battle with this one... And I know from personal experience that it really does help. But if things aren't going to get better, then I don't want to put myself through additional anxiety.

Also, I'm on 200 mg and have been for 12 days now.

Thanks in advance!!

I'm nearly on 14 weeks and I've had improvement here and there but today I cried so much, my eyes are puffy. I've heard from a lot of people that it has taken them anywhere from 8-12 weeks, so I would suggest to hang in there.

I'm sorry to hear that! I feel like sometimes we have to go through mini valleys in order to reach a place where we feel okay. But thanks for your input! Will do

I thought I was all alone in this 14 week thing. I'm not going to increase or change, gonna ride it through and hopefully one day I'll get the results I've been waiting for and you too Julie

I hope that we all can make it through this! Just know that both of you are so strong for making it this far. Here's to hoping there's a light at the end of this tunnel

Yes I do know what that feels like. I would like to laugh more and enjoy my life again because I have nothing to be sad about. We have to believe that we will get there some day👍
