Hi,since goin through surgical menopause last year ive become progressively stuck (in my mind) to time scheduels. I feel i need to allot a time for every task throughout my day, and if i wake up during the night, my mind cant relax until ive organised my day/week/month.Its actually affecting my family life and my relationship with my hubby.

On top of this im having flushings due to menopause and cant take HRT because of family health risks so.. the GP suggested this paroxetine. Im actually quite nervous about taking it, because ive never had anything like this before, but i cant think f any other solution.

I so identify having recently gone through surgical menopause and started obsessive behaviour such as rigid scheduling.

I'm now on Paroxetine and would recommend it. I've been on it three weeks and it's beginning to make a real difference.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Take your doctors advice always over anyone on the internet, but can I give you some very wise advise. Look deeply into the side effects of Paroxatine and be aware that it is a hell of a drug to come off. I am going through month 2 of hell trying to get clean of it. Ask some genuine questions to your dr such as 'is this the only option' are there others with equal value and less side effects. Ask all these questions, do some research, but ultimately take the advise of a medical professional. Very best wishes
