Input needed!

5 weeks post op from left Bartholin gland removal. 15 days post op I went to the doctor again as a follow up appointment. She said I always heeling gorgeously. I've had pinching and/or pressure hear and there. But overall no pain. Tonight my boyfriend and I decided to try to have sex. I felt so dry. Finally I actually felt a bit of sensation and inserted but couldn't go more then the head. He said I was actually really wet but I didn't fell like I was at all because i was in a bit of pain.

Any tricks or tips for anyone? I just want the romance with him back. I love him and he is very good to me, but this is really something I want back. Is it still to early to be having sex? I looked at everything down there. Stitches were healed...things look a little different but I want to need him.

Please any input would help. Thank you!

Give it a few more weeks. I tried at 6 weeks...way to early...same hurting pain! Ended up getting some KY which really helped...and waited a few more weeks. I had both glands removed in February. It was a good 4-6 months before I felt normal and was back to riding my bike. :-)

You should wait until 8 weeks at least. My post op and sexual experiences were about the exact same as yours. We tried once earlier (around 5 weeks as well) but really it was a bad idea. I still felt some pinching at first even after three months but it went away after a minute. We also have been using a really great lube we purchased on Amazon called liquid silk and it's helped wonders. Take your time and best of luck!

It's 8 weeks tomorrow since I had my bartholin cyst and gland removed, the thought of Sex is the last thing on my mind but to still being in pain. Everything looks normal bar from some bruising still on the lip where I was sown up, I've been experiencing severe burning down there and the whole thing has been awful. Went for my check up with the surgeon last week and she said it was my nerves that were causing the problem and it could take weeks for them to settle down and so have been put on gabapentin to ease the pain. I too am dry also. Pharmacist advised ky jelly to help with moisture so like others have said maybe leave it a little longer and use lubricant to help with the dyeness.
