Bells palsy

I have had bells palsy for eight weeks, was treated with steroids a a antiviral medication with eye drops at the begining, I'm still of work with chronic pulsing a d pressure behind my ear although I've got most of the movement back in my face, I've been to GP a number of times with the pain all he keeps telling me to do is increase the amitriptyline I'm on 35mg . I'm at my wits end with the pain, on a waiting list to see ENT but told there is a 40week waiting GP doesn't think I'm am a urgent case to try to get me in quicker.

Does anyone have a suggestion,
