Please help. My father has been in severe pain for several months. He has been diagnosed with a benign inflammatory process in/and around his liver and where his gallbladder was removed. The mass has been biopsied and doesn't appear to be malignant. Doctors say surgery is not an option but we need to help this sweet man. Anyone ever heard of this? Thanks

Has it turned into polyp ? A polyp is very painful near the end of the esophagus and can be removed via endoscopy procedure ... If not then just a healthy diet and lifestyle will be the treatment ,however if he is a milk drinker ,have him try carnation powered milk or even goats milk . Also drinking a cup of warm water first thing when waking up can relax muscles releasing tension and pain . Does he have pain meds ? If not advil is a good med for pain a d inflammation .. Bless his heart

Has pain medication been prescribed? Since the mass has been tested and shown to be benign, your doctor is doing a watch and wait approach. My mum had a lesion on her kidney and the specialist decided on a watch and wait approach rather than a biopsy or surgery because of her dementia. The lesion always stayed the same.
