Hi there, I have just had surgery to have this removed and had to have the open surgery as my cyst was too big. I like you was extremely apprentive. I was home after 3 days after surgery and I am pregnant so was a risk to baby thankfully all seems to be ok that way. It is painful afterwards but nothing unbearable the hardest thing for me was getting out of bed for the first time. You will feel great when they are removed though I can't believe I went round so long with them in me I had a ovary and tubes on one side rremoved also.

I just had laparoscopic surgery on Friday (3 days ago) and I'm doing good. I was soooo scared to have surgery, but it was a breeze. I got to go home 2 hours after surgery. Sure there is some pain, but I haven't even taken any of the pain killers they offered, just a couple of tylonols. Don't be scared!

I survived! Thanks for your replies. As you say getting around can be difficult. Taking painkillers regularly. Feel lightheaded and tired from anaesthetic still did either of you have that?

Yes, I had pretty bad lightheadedness. I tried to do too much and went for a walk on day 3 and felt like passing out. You have to take it slow. The anethestic will take a few weeks to get right out of our system/

Yes I get lightheaded and have fainted sometimes since surgery. I'm healing well I hope I get my staples out today so hope that's not painful. I'm getting out and about and maybe going to try the shops today for a while. How have you been finding out and about among crowds. I'm hoping to take it slow and build myself up. I'm stingy now round my staples so hoping when these are removed it will help. I'm nervous about having them removed as I don't have a great pain threshold and all this fainting can't be good for the baby.

Getting better everyday, still taking ibuprofen and paracetamol regularly. Cabin fever hit yesterday and I decided to try driving slowly round the block, when that was ok I drove to my dads for dinner. Today I braved the supermarket but lived in fear of someone knocking my trolley and it hitting my tummy. It didn't happen but I was tired and ready for more ibuprofen when home again. But has definitely done me good to be up and out for a bit. My stitches are dissolve able. Hope your staples don't cause you too much discomfort when they are removed.

Yes went to shops and find it grand just need to make sure I have eaten well before as I get weak easily. But so far so good. Hopefully will be grand now for Christmas and able to get out and about more. At least we have it over now and to be honest I found the gas pain the word tod the entire procedure. Maybe keyhole is different but from my experience of the open surgery is was dreadful for a few days. I haven't taken any pain relief after about 5 days post surgery I haven't needed too and even when I was it was more to try and ease gas but only thing for that really is to try and move about as much as possible I found. Was your cyst large mine was lots of fluid filled was 4.5 litres of fluid drained before removing it so needless to say I feel lighter. Hopefully won't last long as im

Pregnant so hope all goes well now with that and operation has t effected it.

I was lucky didn't suffer with gas pain, know it affects many. I had 2 cysts each the size of an orange. Yours sounds much larger!  I now have 2 wound  haematomas. Found  I was in a lot of pain last night and didn't know why checked scars and discovered a hard ridge above lowest scar, still there this morning and got an emergency appt with Dr. He changed my painkillers and said it will go eventually

      hope your pregnancy continues well.
