Hello, can someone tell me any medicine to delete and stop bad thoughts? I read that alot of people have some panic attacks or  anxiety or something but thats not my problem. I just want to know how to delete bad thoughts that are stuck in the mind. Im not talking about thoughts that tell me to switch on and off lights or something. I'm talking about bad thoughts that are torturing and you fight them in the mind and they get stuck in the mind or something. Do SSRIs medicine help? I heard maybe sertraline zoloft or something can delete and stop the bad thoughts? Anyone had bad thoughts and deleted and destroyed them with any medicine? I dont care about side effects i dont care if i will die, just what helps and completely destroys and deletes the bad thoughts? Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks you for all answers.

I have been dealing with the same thing for many years. I didn't know what to do and I would have terrible anxious thoughts all the time. Now,I have been able to stop the bad thoughts, the anxious thoughts, the fearful thoughts.

it's not medication.  Medication calmed me down but I still had the thoughts.

First of all, if there's anyway you can get a book called mindfulness it teaches all of this. Secondly, what I do is when I notice Bad thought, I absolutely DO NOT react with anxiety! That makes you more anxious and more bad thoughts come. You have to  Calmly acknowledge that the thought is there no matter what it is.  then, staying calm, you imagine it floating off into the sky and dissolving .  Do this anytime you get a bad thought. It takes practice but over time, it will be automatic as it has been for me.

you see, when you react with anxiety, then your brain becomes anxious and this actually produces more bad thoughts! The key to all of this is keeping the brain CALM!    Anxiety  and fear are the culprits behind the bad thoughts.

we can't let them take us over and we don't have to! We are in control!

something that helped and still helps me calm down our audio meditations for anxiety found on YouTube. I listen to them a couple times a day. There are many to choose from. I do like one called detachment from overthinking  and another called clearing subconscious negativity. Listen to everything that is sad. There are many many others to choose from. Also, you need to remove  your self from the thinking. Another thing is focus on your breathing .   This is also taught in the mindfulness Book.

breathe in slowly through your nose for five seconds. Make sure your stomach rises .

then breathe out slowly through your lips like you're blowing out a candle . Think of how the air feels going in and out.  Do several times and when you get bad thoughts. This keeps you in the present moment, away from bad thinking.

Be relentless and you will manage this well!!

try not to feel frustrated if you have one good day  and one bad day. That's normal in the healing process.

REMEMBER: CALM the brain down and don't overreact to the thoughts. They are fleeting and not a part of you so you can get rid of them before they grow!! 😁

SSRIs would be unlikely to help. Abnormal thinking patterns are normally treated with antipsychotics. However, mind that this should be done under the supervision of a psychiatric consultant, this class of medications has serious side effects whereby some of them may become permanent after a prolonged therapy.

you are not alone. I know so well how you feel.

At my worst, I considered suicide. I got better when I got professional help. It feels so good to talk to a psychologist.

Apart from that, music usually helps me a lot. It helps me to calm down my head. Another thing you should try is to meditate.

I'm going to zoloft, but it's for my anxiety.

Talk to a doctor as soon as possible.

Just ask me if you're wondering something. I'll try to answer as well as I can.

    Sorry for bad english

hi as part of my anxiety I battled with negative thoughts from suicide ( just more the thought not the actual act itself) to thinking about hurting others to the point of not sleeping. I'm on Zoloft and worked a miracle. still have some anxiety but those thoughts vanished. can't recommend it highly enough. almost almost no side effects.

Contact your primary care physician or a pharmacy technician. If you go to a pharmacy, ask the pharmacist their opinion on which medicine is capable of eliminating the negative thoughts you are having. Before you take that medicine, ask the Pharmacist how you would take it and if it comes in a form you would like to take it in.
