Best Way to Use One Blood Pressure Monitor to Check the Accuracy of Another One?

Posted , 1 user is following.

My primary doctor recommended that I purchase a second blood-pressure monitor to check against my current one, the theory being that if both monitors consistently provide comparable readings, I can trust both of them.

So I did buy a second monitor. I was wondering if there is a best way to conduct the readings on the two monitors. Right now, I'm simply alternating between the two, taking one reading right after the other, on the left arm (since I've read that the left arm is the better one to use if you are right-handed).

Thanks,

Bill
