Yes they do. You just have to see what you can handle. Start out slow and do your research. If you have any question PM me I will be happy to help

Self cath until you find something acceptable.

May I ask if you are from the UK or USA? CIC or ISC? In the UK intermittent self catheterisation is rarely talked about. I was told it wasn't appropriate for me as I suffer from nocturnal polyuria (I produce most of my urine at night - "nocturia"), however I've never heard of it being widely used here. Maybe this is is different in the USA?

      Hello

It is use a lot in the US. I thought it was used in the UK I may be wrong

Have you tried taking a hot bath or shower before bed. It may help you pee and you may be able to sleep more

    Hi David,

good on you for trying to find an easy safe option, if you have not already done so get a simple ultra sound to help pin point your particular issue, taking drugs may be highly promoted but if you go down the drug path keep in mind not just the side affects but also the longer you kick the can down the road the more damage can be done to your bladder and kidneys if your urine flow is to restricted if so avoid pushing to get urine out as you will damage your bladder and kidneys, after a long time I chose FLA which was the least invasive for my enlarged median lobe and it was very successful along with no pain during or after FLA. I got off the drugs as soon as I realized the side affects and the natural supplements did no good in the case of an enlarged median lobe, all the best with firstly identifying your particular cause of your bph.

I had the same reaction to all the solutions for my huge prostate (BPH). I looked at HoLep and decided that the results look good but the procedure looked very invasive and I was not impressed with retrograde ejaculation. I elected PAE, which I had on 10/18/18 with virtually no problems. There is no cutting, no meat grinding, no laser or other burning, and I am noticing better flow already but the urgency still comes at times. I need more time to evaluate this fully. I felt that a less invasive procedure to start would be best and so far I am happy with my decision. I got mine done by a very experienced doctor (Dr. Bagla at the Vascular Institute of Virginia). He said that because my vascular system was so clean he was able to treat me very aggressively. There was no pain, and no problems. I am 71. I have had sex twice since the procedure and can say that everything still works! If after a few months I still am having problems I can still get the HoLep procedure as my prostate was 127 CC. By the way, no urologist will refer you for PAE. They all call it experimental. I suspect that this is because they can't do it. It is done by an interventional radiologist. The literature hints that HoLep is better on several counts, but with more side effects and that retrograde ejaculation. Hope this helps.

      Good afternoon Bill

So happy everything is in working order. You had the procedure not even 2 weeks ago. Give yourself time to heal. Just read up again on it. It said that it takes at least 2 weeks to see improvement and from what your saying your doing go.

Being we are all different we do heal at different rates. I feel you will see more improvement in time

      Take careKen
