Bicep Tenodesis Re-injury??

Posted , 1 user is following.

Hi,

I am 2 1/2 weeks into my recovery from a subpectoral bicep tenodesis. Two nights ago, I stood up, stumbled, and fell back into my recliner. I landed on my surgical arm. Immediately, I felt a tearing sensation, and shortly after, the site felt warm inside with quite a bit of stinging. Since then, I have been more sore than I had been before the fall. It's the weekend, so I haven't yet called my surgeon.

What are the chances that I dislodged the healing tendon? Could I have just ripped some of the tissue surrounding the anchored tendon, or could I have just irritated my incision? I have not noticed any additional bruising or swelling.

I have a physical therapy appointment tomorrow, and I am unsure if I should see what my therapist says before I call the doctor.

Thanks.
