Biceps tenodesis- re injure

Posted , 3 users are following.

Post-op 5 months from biceps tenodesis surgury. PT went great and was released after 8 week with full range of motion. Back in the pool after 3 month, light swimming about 70-80% full strength. But as i was swimming one day i pulled a little too hard and felt a "pull" in my shoulder. Ever since then it is hard to raise arm and put any weight on it from sitting. Pain at night sleeping too. Although not as bad a before surgery.

Can i have re injured it?

So after 5 months you are swimming and now feel pain, or 3 months? Maybe  I read it wrong but sounds like you might have done too much too soon.

Im at 13 weeks post op. Didn't start PT until  I was in week 7, after that darn imobilizer was D/Ced.

So im currently in my 7th week (2x week) of PT, and there's NO way  I could swim, let alone have full range of motion! I've heard that the strengthening exercises are very important not just ROM.

id call your Dr if  I were you. Just to be on the safe side.
