Bidet has helped me!

I bought a bidet 2 weeks ago off of Amazon for $35. It has been so great in keeping the irritation away! If you buy one don't worry about getting one that sprays warm water, cold water hitting down there is actually refreshing! I now always have that shower fresh feeling! The reason I purchased the bidet was because I was getting irritation on my butt sometimes after bowel movements. When you use only toilet paper to clean after going to the restroom, it can cause irritation because it isn't getting urine/feces completely off. I have tried using perineum squirt bottles and wipes but these either made a bigger mess or just didn't clean very well and I would usually use way too much toilet paper to try to get clean. I was also worried the wipes would clog my septic system. Also, toilet paper has very harsh chemicals as well because they bleach the paper white, which can add to LS irritation.

I now skip the toilet paper and went out and purchased a couple of bundles of washcloths from Walmart that I now use to dry off with. I use a clean washcloth once and then put them in a bin and launder them every other day or when I am almost out of clean washcloths. The bidet does such a good job that the only thing that ends up on the washcloths is water. After making this change, I have noticed that I don't get the irritation that I was getting on my butt, so this was a good purchase for me.

Sorry for the long, graphic detail but I hope this helps someone who may be still getting irritation after using the restroom. With LS, it helps to keep as clean as possible and the bidet is such a good way to do it with little mess and you can save on buying toilet paper too.

When I had 2 frozen shoulders, I bought a Korean made bidet which fits over the toilet for just over $300.  Great investment and recommended especially when dealing with the LS.  I also bought a sitz bath but too small for my size 14 frame.
