Big Brick Wall!

Oooops! Just hit a big brick wall :yikes: Where did that come from? Off to Spain next week, three days home and then off on our rescheduled cruise (cancelled when Jake was in hospital). Me thinks I'll kick any thoughts of reducing into touch for a while   Can't even cook dinner today, that's a first :? Felt OK when I woke up. Dinner smells good though, staying out of the kitchen

Know what you mean about the kitchen after a 'certain someone' has cooked! I always know I will have to de-grease the hob and wipe bits that escaped off the floor but I suppose it's small payment for having enjoyed what is usually a delicious meal so I wont knock it or he wont cook again!
So glad you're having a better day today (well, apart from the fact that you'll probably be back to cooking tonight  ). Where do these odd days come from for goodness sake? I've been having some really bad nights during this hot weather so, much as I hate to lose the sun, I'm grateful for some cooler weather so that I can get some better sleep and see a return of my daytime energy levels.

Yes do kick those thoughts into touch, ignore the mess and have a great time cruising wherever it is you are going.
Care to pack an overweight person in your hand luggage?

I feel much better on 5mg I must admit I think my bloods are next week and Dr the week after and unless my bloods are exceptionally low I wont be bothering with reductions for now
Really enjoyed my Nordic walk this morning and want to continue with things like that so if its steroids forever so be it !!
We will all need some sun if this weather continues ! My friend has just come back off her cruise and unfortunately they were robbed in Florence They were doing their own trip so they were told to take their passports so her husband grabbed bag out of the safe and unfortunately had lots of cash in it as well ! It was put in a bag with a zip and a flap over and they still got it so be careful !!! We have put copies of our passports on our emails just in case !

Sorry to hear that you weren't so well today, and hope tomorrow brings better things 8) .
Your cruise sounds fantastic, so you need to get yourself back on track before you go. How long are you out in Spain for? Our friends are back tomorrow and said the weather was great at present. I am going out on 23rd oct for three weeks to re-charge my batteries again  .
I don't know if it is the cold & rain affecting me or just that I over-did things at the week-end,but I have felt awful the last few days, and was so weepy last night that I think hubby was ready to get the men in white coats to visit
Thankfully, normal mental, if not physical service has been resumed today and I have just had a lovely nurse here to supervise my first injection for my rheumatoid arthritis. I really hope this works for me as my hands and knees have become very stiff and sore and the pain-killers don't seem to help at all .I often wish I coud just up my steroids to 40mgs again....I was pain free then
I got the shock of my life when the chemist told me the cost of this new treatment.....each injection, and I'm on one a week, costs 250euro  . Luckily, I do not have to pay that, as it comes under drugs for \"long-term\" illness.
Rosemary...I am going to steal your tip of keeping a copy of passports on an e-mail as it is a major hassle if they get lost or stolen.
Off to my bed now to try and get some sleep
Love to all,
Pauline

Isn't it a bind that just as you think you can do a bit more back comes this rotten illness to remind you who is really in charge. You would think that optimism should be rewarded, not struck down.

Do hope you are getting fast relief from being back on 5mg. You have had a bumpy ride of late after your incredible early journey down the doses (the stressful situations have definitely proved to be the culprit for you it seems) but if 5mg works then another couple of months at that dose may just do the trick if my experience is anything to go by - you may remember my rheumy kept me there for some 5-6 months after arriving back down from an increase to 10 after one flare. That cruise sounds exciting - will have to let you know about my very short upcoming cruise sometime (the first holiday in about 10 years!); however the underwriters are sitting on the finalities at the moment! I think you said you'd be back from your hols and hoping to attend the 8th November Surrey Support Group meeting, Lizzie - do hope so as it would be lovely to meet you (feel I know you anyway after all this time :D )

[color=blue:1730c94aaf]Shirley[/color:1730c94aaf], I had a note on my desk to phone you about the November meeting :yikes: but after reading your post I had a look on the Website (I can be a bit dim sometimes :doh and found all the info on there. 8th November couldn't be better - my kitchen starts on the 7th :magic: I've been planning to be out as much as possible so that suits me fine. See you there!
