Big spots and lasting a long time

Hi everyone,

I just made an account to post on here to see if anyone had a similar case. I was diagnosed (via scrape & biopsy) with PR 8 or so weeks ago. The first sign was a really big herald patch on my back that I thought was a huge ringworm. I also had a smaller "ring worm" looking patch forming on my shin so decided to go to the doctor so they could confirm it was ring worm and give me a strong anti-fungal cream. He immediately told me it was not ring worm as it wasn't itchy or scaly/dry so we did some tests. Basically it's been 8 weeks and I'm still getting new spots to this day. I don't really have a "rash" as such, it's more like just patches. I have a fair few patches but not as bad as some photos I've seen, it's quite spread out over my body but the patches I get are BIG. They aren't the tiny little red ones all over. They actually spread wider/grow as time goes on.

Has anyone had this happen? What can I expect?

Not much has changed and it's a little concerning that I am still getting new spots 8 weeks after my herald patch appeared 😦

    hey hows your PR now? I've had mine for 12 weeks and still struggling with the dark spots

      If all you have is dark spots, your PR is finished. The hyperpigmentation will fade to skin color in a few weeks.
