Big toe fusion issue

Posted , 2 users are following.

I've had several operations on my big toe. It all started with a bunion. I now ended up with a fusion. My issue is that my toe is permanently bent at the second joint. Not allowing me to wear any shoes but sneakers and flip flops. Is this normal?

My toe is bent down. The I tail base is fused but the 2nd knuckle is bent. Almost like it wants to be a hook or sorts. I don't think this is normal. I told my dr and he said maybe I need ANOTHER surgery to cut the tendon under my toe so it'll straighten?  I'm so confused. Some say negligence in the dr's part but idk. Sigh
