Big toe pain continues

Hi

I had surgery done on my right foot around big toe about 8 months ago due to toothpick entered around big toe

I was hoping that pain on big toe would be gone after 6-7 months but pain still continues.

Visited doctor couple of times but he didnt suggest anything except telling me it will take time.

I started getting pain in my knee since past 3 months after I started walking reasonably ok.

Not sure what to do. Pls suggest.
