Bilateral hip replacements

Has anyone had bilateral hip replacements in the past few months since Covid? Titanium is used today, unlike the old cement way wherein every 10 yrs things had to be redone. Today I'm told that once titanium is used there's no need to redo. If you have similar symptoms to mine, please advise. Here's my short version. About 3 yrs ago pain in my lower back, which radiated to my sciatica and got worse ever since. From chiropractor, to PT, to meds, to injections. Now surgery is last resort. Once an xray ws done, I'm advised that the back pain is majority from the hips. Once surgery is done it should alleviate most of my pain. Anyone?

totally get your apprehension. i went the the same bilateral hip replacement. the metal used has been used since the 1960.. non allergy. there are also ceramic ball joints. it's best to have a surgeon that has years of experience and using models he is familiar with. the is no model made from metals that are better they are generally made by the same manufactures that have had years making models with many years of success. good luck to your future, you will have a better quality of life and continued mobility.

ask patient UK how many joints were replaced just in 2018-2019. the UK keeps a data base on every one done with all the info on what your looking for.
