Bilateral Menieres

For those that have bilateral menieres can you please tell me how the symptoms started with you when it started to go to the second ear.  Ive been diagnosed with unilateral (left side) menieres since 2011.  Lately every now and then I get a high pitch ringing in my right ear. Could this mean its starting to move over there? Thank you!

Not necessarily, I have right sided meiners and my left ear rings from time to time has for years, I can only sleep on my left side. 50 percent hearing loss in that ear and my other ear is fine. Good luck this disease isn't easy to deal with, I had a major attack yesterday out of the blue after 2 years that had me in bed for 16 hours and I been on Valium for it since 2013. It threw me into a major panic attack and I was home all alone for hours and felt sick and could barely make it to the bathroom.

I know what you mean.  That is awesome to hear about my right side.  Ive been going thru almost daily attacks of vertigo.  Im considering the Meniett device before gentamyacin injections.  I just really dont want it going to my right.  I already have 70% hearing loss in my left ear and getting daily attacks.  I just started valium but cant take it too often, I work and I'm extremely sensitive to meds like that.  I only take 2.5 - 5 mg and I'm sleeping for hours.

I take 7.5mg on waking 2.5 4 hours later 2.5 4 hours after that and 7.5mg at 6:30pm so 20 mg total and they want to up it another 5mg

Yes, it sometime or always (cant remember which) travels in the end to both.

    How mine progressed so far:

I'v only recently been diagnosed with maniers...sparing the details why I had been taking Klonopin(a Benzodiazapine) for anxiety and percieved panic atacks. About 2 1/2 years ago I tried to get off the valium like Klonopin, but every time IO did, I would spin get anxious and freak out. I thought I had a "drug withdrawal". Spinning ears ringing and could sleep for 3 days. Went to an Urgent care and got the "drug seeking" treatment. Felt awful. 2 days later came down with Shingles which lasted a little over a year! Now I read that Herpes (SHingles?) may act as a catalyst and really bring the maniers to the forefront. Found out just last week tha I am doomed. Seeking help over the years left me feeling shame, embaracment and persecution because the Klonopin made me feel better. Never "wanted" to take it, it just helped. I blamed all my problems on trying to quit this crazy drug, when I was never addicted to it!

I hope your journey is a smoother one.

So I guess for me it started as anxiety and dizzyness only. Later came the stuffy ear pain and 24/7 ringing and inability to walk with eyes closed.
