I wish you the best. You have testicular issues too then? I have no experience with that. If you don't mind me asking, what symptoms did you experience with the prostate cancer? my prostate has been really sore the last year and I'll be having a biopsy soon.

To start with I was having ED issues and with just getting married I didn't want any problems. I was also having pain in my groin/lower abdomen area. I was also having problems urinating. Either it was just dripping and pain or blood in my urine. To not being able to urinate at all. So I decided to go to the doctor and after test he told me I had prostate cancer and put me on maintenace drugs for prostrate and kidneys. After 2 years of maint meds and not seeing any improvement I am looking into surgeries.   Hope you biopsy comes out OK

James. My 89 year old dad had a b orchidectomy in Feb. We had no choice as he couldn't handle the hormones. Side affects were loss of muscle, and hot and cold sweats. Possibly some cognitive decline. Non of which the Doctor advised us of.

for the sweats he is now taking 2 herbs Sage, black cohosh. Avoid testosterone gel which of course brings on the cancer...

    best of luck. Clare

Clare , Yea I can't take those hermones either. Has you father had any change in his urinary tract or anything like that? The main reason I am thinking about having it down is cause of my urinary problems.

Thats great. I have blood also in mu urine. But my concern is the frequent urinating, not empying bladder and dripping. Did he have those problems before procedure?

I don't think it did help those things. I'm away on holiday one week so unable to ask him. I get back in one week and will try and remember to check then. He is a lot older than you which may affect those symptoms too.
