My doctor wants to do a bilateral ureteroscopy and put a sent in both sides. I have had several ureteroscopies and the stents are always awful and calcify quickly. Has anyone had experience with them doing both kidneys at once? Wondering if I should ask to do them separately?

i recently had 2 stents installed. its rare, but I was unable to remove them myself. the office visit was excruciating and took 3 or 4 attempts before they came out. i will never allow self-removal double j's again.
