Bilateral Weil Osteotomy - Post Op Pin Removal

6 weeks ago I had a bilateral weil osteotomy, they put plates in each foot followed my pins in both second toes. Yesterday I had the pins removed the right one is fine, slightly uncomfortable, but the left is really sore, looks like I've had a hammer dropped on it, throbbing and really swollen.

I'm worried It might be infected but not sure if this is normal considering the pin has been removed from my bone. Has anyone else had this?
