I gave up taking MTX after 20 months. I took it for an autoimmune skin condition. It worked well on the disease.
I now take MMF [Mycophenolate Mofetil] for my condition. The side effects are fewer but it isn't quite as effective now. I have been taking it for about 18 months. I had been on 3g/day but had to reduce it to 2g per day.
I haven't been on Biologics yet.

I started on Methotrexate tabs around 2005 but was feeling nauseated for about 4 days a week. When I moved to Reading my Rheumatologist changed me to sub-cut Methotrexate and I haven't had a problem since. I hope you get an answer and feel better soon.

I ve had rituximab infusions ( every 6 months) for 1 and half years now with no side effects. I ve been on high dose of mxt for 2 and half years with minor side effects eg hair loss and brain fog on the day I take it. In general I am less robust emotionally but can't work out if it's the RA or meds- or just adapting to a major change in health!

I have been on methotrexate for a few months now. I have hair loss, but that started before. I suspect that it is caused by Plaquenil, which I have been taking for about nine months. Since I have been taking methotrexate (10 mg a week), the only side effect I have noticed is lack of motivation. I don't feel especially tired. I just have a hard time getting myself to do anything, especially housework and paperwork.

I developed juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at age 11...back in 1962 during the dark ages of medicine...65 now.
Began Enbrel 1999...so my JRA burned for decades. Enbrel was the first DMARD back in 1996 if my memory serves me well.
You can use PM...I will answer all questions
kind regards
