I am due to have a BIOPSY and surgery for fusion due to my LS, has anyone else had this type of surgery done and was it successful?

What's the purpose of the surgery? If it's for the fusing I believe there are less invasive techniques.
I had the biopsy done many years ago to diagnose correctly and yes I was the lucky recipient of lichen sclerosis.
I was able to ignore it for years (so I thought) until it became painful to have sex with hubby.
It was put on the back burner when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. As a widow now I am able to take the time to hopefully chanhe the structure down below.
I am or was completely fused with white patches over my clitorus. My labia was gone too and I was freaking. It's one thing to be in a loving relationship with a trusted partner and quite another to enter a new one with no sexual involvement.
I have changed my diet and removed 90% of garbage ie white flour, sugar, etc. I also read another ladies post on this discussion group about applying a saturated Borax solution down below.
I've been doing this for about 2 months on and off and I'm encouraged to see some changes. My labia is infusing slowly so I'm very encouraged to continue. I may see faster results if I applied this daily but in truth I don't.
Please be sure to ask tons of questions about the surgery before committing to it.
Best of luck!

I agree with the other post. What is the point in a biopsy when all they will tell you is what you already know...that you have Lichen Sclerosus? With regard to fusing, that will always be a problem with LS and I think there are far better ways of trying to 'unfuse' your lady parts..take a look at the experiment with borax thread.
