BioTe pellets and bleeding

I had my second round of pellets put in December 4 and 4 days ago had light spotting which comes and goes but today the bleeding is heavier. The pellets are estrogen and trstosterone and iI take 200mg of progesterone at night. I had my annual exam

with gyn on 2/27 and everything was fine. I even have the cramping and lower back pain i used to have when i was having my period. I'm 60 years old and have been 3 years without a period. Anyone else had this issue?

    Hi Manon,

When I started my hormone replacement I was on creams. They did cause some bleeding and my Dr said it was the estrogen receptors being woke up again. It subsided. I started pellets myself a couple years ago and had more breakthrough bleeding again. Dr thought I wasn't on enough progesterone to balance out the estrogen so increased my progesterone. That ended the bleeding. Haven't had any more problems. It seems getting the balance right with the estrogen and progesterone then things go pretty smoothly. Good luck!
