    Hi ch16005,

i dont one want to sound like a pervert here but I'm 40 married with kids but I'm not immune to the charms and curves of the ladies. I don't know how old you are or the relationship status but sexual desire is quite normal unless of course your desires are scaring you then I would suggest tolling to your GP, and yes I appreciate how scary that thought is but if it is a symptom they will need to know

i suggest you talk to your GP, as a man of 40 I appreciate that it's not an easy conversation but I have been there though in my case it was a lack of interest that took me to him! I wish you well and ask you to stay strong and please feel free to message me anytime if you need to talk/ vent etc

      Ch16005,

you will not lose your job my friend, I understand you are fed up with medication and you are tired, but you must be strong, you have strength inside that you have yet to tap, you know your illness inside out by now and know that while it may never go away but it can be controlled. I like to think that because it is my mind that is the problem, then at the end of the day it is my mind and it will do as it is told. Our biggest enemy is letting go, giving up and rolling over but we can help ourselves we can learn to relax and control our mind, my choice is meditation and after a bit of practice I can now clear my mind even if only for 15 minutes but I can clear my thoughts. Our journey is long but every step we take is worth it.

have faith in yourself my friend, stand tall and be proud. You have friends here that you may never meet but we still care for you. Together we will help each other.

      David

Sounds normal to me. I'm 39, happily married and still notice he ladies. I'd be worried if I stopped have sexual feelings lol

Maybe as your bipolar your anxiety is increased and you worried more than most.

i think everyone has fantasys and looks at others, if thats all it is and you dont pursue anything then why not? we all day dream and find others attractive...are you worried that you may do something?
