I have been on them (2.5mg) for 4 and a bit years and still getting side effects tired/no energy etc, some days are better than others though and it is still better than a heart-rate of 190 bpm.

Think having no energy makes you more depressed

      Not nice

      Thanks

Dear Gary, you are not alone! Can back you on these side effects 100%. And yes felt worse 4-6 months in. My main thing is insomnia and the horrible adreanaline rush at night.

12 months on the damned stuff and still no joy. cardiologist reluctant to change me because he says Bisoprolol is the best.

    Kind regards, Mardi

It’s not best if I’m not recovering because of the severe insomnia. But they don’t get that either 🙄

Whats really reassuring is when you tell one of your cardiologists how ill these drugs make you and he says "nonsense", "I have been a cardiologist for 15 years", "its just a co-incidence"(that you got all these symptoms the same day you started taking Bisoprolol), "It cannot be the Bisoprolol, it comes out of your system in 12 hours", (even though you take it every 24 hours!). I find it quite worrying that these badly informed people are doing physical things like ablations to our hearts.

We must all drive home to our cardiologists how ill we are, how ill coming off cold turkey makes us. Maybe if they hear it enough, it might eventually sink in and we can save others this suffering.

I think it will take another cardiac event for the lm to believe it. Not recovering as well or fast as why i should due to insomnia and various other issues surely they can see that
