after being on this horrible drug and off them since august, ive had another spike in heart rate this morning for no reason. upon waking my heart went up to 139. just had a hospital trip to get checked
does anyone else find these spikes for no reason - i feel sick with them and go very pale. not panicked by them its just they are affecting my life.
it happens out of the blue and last time GP wanted me to restart bisoprolol. no thanks

I had this for quite some months after coming off Bisoprolol once. I was just sitting in the quiet sunshine looking at my fish so no stress, my pulse would go up as high as 147 then back down for no apparent reason. Doesnt happen to me anymore, been off nearly three years now, only symptoms I still have are the drunk zombie and balance issues.

The variable heart beat was about the most minor symptom I got from this drug that interferes with a hugely complex nervous system that is beyond medicines current understanding of it, the Autonomic Nervous System.
This beta blocker has made me so permanently ill that I had to be medically retired. My cardiologist initially tried to fob me off with the usual "anxiety" nonsense, until he found another one of his patients with the same side effects from Bisoprolol as I, he has referred both of us to Neurologists, but my neurologist is indicating he has already made his mind up it cannot be beta blockers despite my getting my current symptoms from the very day I started taking them and medical specialists reporting that beta blockers can cause Dysautonomia by upsetting the balance that sometimes cannot reset itself once you stop taking this drug.

same exact thing happened to me with metoprolol. took it for 30 years they stopped it cold turkey, went into severe withdrawals. my adrenaline levels never adjusted back, been fighting this daily for 15 months now. my doctors are stumped. should have weaned off metoprolol but my cardiologist was clueless.

my bp last night was 135/78 and my heart rate was 95. of course I felt anxious and took my xanax and barely slept because I was scared. I woke up this morning and my bp was 116/72 and my hr was 78. I'm taking 1.25 mg of bisoprolol. I do smoke cigarettes and I'm sure that is not helping. I'm trying to stop smoking. I work at home and work about 60 to 65 hours a week with no exercise. I've gained alot of weight because I have pcos and lupus.

does anyone use nicotine and off or weaning off bisoprolol? I'm trying to figure out why my top # is high and my heart rate is fine most of the time. tonight I feel horrible. I do stuff around the house, I feel hot and need to lay down. I just had to take a half a xanax to try to calm me down. I want off xanax as well but only taking 1.25 mg of bisoprolol Is making my anxiety worse. I'm so tired of rushing to er over this mess. my bp this morning was perfect 119/68 and heart rate was 78. that was right when I got up. my bp about 30 min ago was 132/70 and hr was 84. it's the dang top number. I'm about to lose it.
